BI Consultant / ETL Data Warehouse:
Role:
- This position is for an BI & ETL Consultant to join our expanding BI Team. The role is Dublin based, with a high proportion of time spent on customer sites. Most of our clients are Irish based.
- This position will require working with business analysts, project sponsors and IT Managers to identify requirements, gain an understanding of different source systems and deliver on all requirements.
There are two main points of focus in this position:
Business Intelligence and Performance Management:
- We deliver BI solutions for our clients, primarily using Cognos BI. We develop OLAP cubes, scorecard/dashboard reports on top of data marts/warehouses that we have delivered. This content is generated in IBM Cognos 8 BI and TM1 (formerly Applix).
- Experience of developing in Cognos 8 BI is the main requirement, but experience in other BI tools delivering similar content would also be considered.
ETL:
- The primary ETL toolsets we use are Microsoft SQL Server 2000 DTS or Microsoft SQL Server 2005/8 SSIS offerings. Experience of these toolsets would provide a key advantage.
- The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated with an ability to work off his/her own initiative.
- Good oral and written communication skills are essential in this client-facing role.
- The position requires a flexible approach and good learning capabilities to get up to speed quickly on new products and challenges.

Junior / Graduate Business Intelligence Analyst:
Role:
- This position is for a Junior/Graduate Business Intelligence Analyst to join our expanding BI Consultancy Team. The role is Dublin based, with a proportion of time spent on customer sites. Most of our clients are Irish based. They include a broad spectrum of industry types including banking, insurance, wholesale distribution, manufacturing and the public sector.
- This position will bring you into contact with business analysts, project sponsors and Finance & IT Managers to identify requirements and gain an understanding of different source systems. You will assist in delivering business intelligence solutions for our clients, primarily using Cognos BI. We develop OLAP cubes, scorecard/dashboard reports on top of data marts/warehouses that we have delivered. This content is generated in IBM Cognos BI and TM1 (formerly Applix).
Experience Required:
We are inviting applications from people that satisfy most of the following requirements:
- Graduate in IT or Business related degree.
- Ability to analyse and interpret numerical information.
- Knowledge and experience of reporting strategies, database structures and query tools (e.g. Cognos, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, SSRS, etc).
- Knowledge and experience of developing reporting solutions.
- 1-2 years relevant work experience.
